MORE than $7,500 Raised for FCC!

Successful 3rd Annual Crawl for a Cause

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the 3rd Crawl for a Cause! For the first time ever, we sold out of tickets BEFORE the event and we nearly DOUBLED the amount that will be donated to the Florida Coalition for Children, our Cause for this year, from last year's numbers. We have asked that these funds stay in the Big Bend area and because of that, the money will be used in the following way:
  • In-kind donations to The Children’s Home Society Wishlist
  • Monetary donation to Capital City Youth Services Transitional Living Facility
  • The sponsoring of a Boys Town of North Florida child or foster family
  • Other opportunities as they arise

"My friends Black & Hue Photography just shared some wedding pictures from a March wedding we did together. Of course they are amazing pictures! But this one really captures how I feel as a wedding officiant and how I want my bride and groom to feel during their ceremony= have FUN with your wedding ceremony!!" - Amanda Doumanian Reeves

GFWC Junior Woman's Club of Midtown was federated in 2005 under the name GFWC University Junior Woman's Club, becoming members of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC), the oldest and largest volunteer organization in the world and GFWC Florida Federation of Woman's Clubs.  Visit GFWC and GFWC Florida to see more about these organizations.

Member Spotlight!

Amanda Doumanian Reeves

JWCM Member Amanda has not been able to stay out of the spotlight it seems! And we couldn’t be more excited to help share all she has accomplished! Amanda works for the family business, A Notary on the Go, and they have been making a splash in Tallahassee like never before! Recently Amanda was recognized by “Tallahassee Woman Magazine” as a “Woman Who Means Business, Women to Watch” – she also just wrote an article for the latest April/May 2015 Issue on Wedding Trends. The family business was also just awarded by WeddingWire, the Couple’s Choice Awards as the 2015 Best Wedding Ceremony Officiant Services in Tallahassee – third year in a row! Other recent articles she has published have been featured in the Tallahassee Democrat (Coffee buzz: Get the scoop on two local cafes) and “All in the Notary Family: Working for Each Other” on the National Notary Association website. Way to go, Amanda! Thanks for all you do and we are proud to have you as a JWCM member!

Success at GFWC FL Convention

Many awards brought home, including best website!

The GFWC Junior Woman's Club of Midtown traveled to Orlando for the 2015 Annual GFWC Florida Spring Convention! Many things took place ranging from workshops and awards, to luncheons and ice bars!
